Lively sketches of individual dogs, arranged in two strips, by Henry Bernard Chalon (1771 - 1849), animal painter, son of Jan Chalon. The key below identifies the breeds as Russian wolfhound, a staghound of the royal pack, a pug dog, smooth-haired fox terrier, and a German boarhound. The owner's names are also recorded.
