Set of eight hand coloured lithographs from the series 'Nuova Raccolta di scene popolari e costumi di Napoli disegnati esattamente dal vero'. Trimmed close to image, preserving Italian captions; pasted to eight russet-brown scrap sheets. Fine colour, Trimmed around titles and laid on album pages.
Charming semi-caricatured vignettes of Neapolitan street life, in vibrant contemporary hand colour. They include crowd watching a Punch and Judy show, a religious procession with icon commemorating the Holy Virgin, a water-seller and soldier refreshing, a barber, roast chestnut seller, and a tambourine-seller. Hfalmar Mörner (1794 - 1837) was a Swedish count and amateur etcher; in Rome 1816-28.
