Frederick Calvert (British, active ca. 1814–1844). Throughout the 18th & 19th Century many extravagant and spectacular dispalys fo Fireworks were held. This brilliant display int 1814 in celcbration of peace was witnessed by the King of Prussia, Tsar Alexander, and Prince Metternich. Planned by the Prince Regent but designed and directed by Colonel William Congreive.
