Hand-coloured engraving. Plate 451 x 694mm. 17¾ x 27¼". Small tear to left-hand edge. Repaired paper loss lower right-hand corner. Crease down right-hand side.
The pavement at Stonesfield was found in 1712 by farmer George Handes, but despite considerable interest from Oxford academics, the pavement was subsequently destroyed. By the mid 19th-century there was no pavement left.
