Magnificent lithograph in vivid contemporary colour, heightened in white. Image 370 x 550mm, 14½ x 21¾". Some marginal soiling and spotting; a fine impression.
A man in highland dress crouching beside a dead stag in a clearing, a boy standing beside him, a white horse at left. They are holding some twining, preparing to tie their quarry up; a white terrier dog sits far right looking up at its master. After brothers William (1810 - 1850) and Henry (1811 - 1874) Barraud , who specialised in sporting subjects.
