The Picture from which this Plate was engraved obtained the First Premium in 1764, from the Society of Arts &c. Published as the Act directs, 30 June, 1768; and Sold by W.Woollett, Charlotte Street, Rathbone Place, & John Boydell Engraver, Cheapside, London.
Etching with engraved writing. 470 x 578mm (18½ x 22½"). Visible repairs to lower left corner, along inscription and margins at top. Repaird hole centre right, laid on conservation tissue.
Several ships on a turbulent sea; on the shore in the foreground, men unload their fishing boats, a lighthouse and building in the distance on the left, a horse-drawn cart approaching the shore on the right.
