Sultan Chusero (died 1621) was the son of the Emperor Jehangire. His tomb is situated amidst trees in a handsome garden, laid out in the Hindoostan taste, with paved walks, avenues, and fountains. Allahabad is on the banks of the Ganges, in India's Northern heartland. The Mausoleum is built of freestone upon a paved terrace, and the whole has a grand effect. A copy of the plate by Thomas Daniell, R.A. (1749 - 1840) from his great 'Oriental Scenery' (1795-1808).
