Daniel Lambert (1770-1809), Keeper of Leicester gaol, portrayed at the age of 36. The letterpress text describes how he refused to be weighed, but friends persuaded him to come with them to a cock fight in Loughborough, taking their coach onto a large weighing machine and, comparing the result to the weight of the empty carriage, calculated that Lambert's weight was forty-nine stone, twelve pounds.
