The Harmonicon was an influential monthly journal of music published in London between 1823 and 1833. Giacomo Meyerbeer (1791-1864) was a German opera composer, and the first exponent of Grand Opera. At the time he was one of the most influential and prolific composers and producers of opera in Europe.
