Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was an Austrian composer, and one the most prolific and prominent composers fo the classical period. His is often referred to the "Father of the Symphony" and "Father of the String Quartet". He was instrumental in the development of the piano trio and the evolution of sonata form.
