Karl Friedrich Lessing (1808-1880) was a German historical and landscape painter. He accompanied Friedrich Wilhelm Schadow to Düsseldorf, after completing his time at the Berlin Academy, and he continued his studies later occupying his place as director of the academy, exercising great influence on the Düsseldorf school.
