Amy Dudley, nee Rosbart, was the first wife of Lord Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester. Rosbart is known for her tragic death, caused by falling down a flight of stairs. However, in 1558, after her accession, The Queen, Elizabeth I, fell in love with Robert Dudley. After a painting by Henri Jean-Baptiste Victoire Fradelle (1778-1865).
