Two scenes of the celebrations of the coming-of-age of the son of prominent Northumberland landowner and politician Thomas Wentworth Beaumont (1792 - 1848), at his seat Bywell Hall on the north bank of the River Tyne at Bywell, Northumberland. Male friends, associates and tenants greet Master Beaumont on the steps of the Hall in the first scene, a band playing; in the second we see the feasting inside the tent that has been erected for the purpose in the grounds.
