George Wild (1805 - 1856), actor and manager, in five characters in his own entertainment. Each character captioned below, with a quote, including Paul Pry far right. His piece was performed at the Olympic Pavilion in Wych Street, Strand, London. The theatre was built in 1805 by Philip Astley, the circus proprietor of Astley's Amphitheatre fame, in the form of a tent from the timbers of a French warship and with a tin roof. It hosted many forms of human and animal entertainment.
