Tinted lithograph, sheet 240 x 150mm. 9½ x 6".
A ruin in Tibet or northern India. Plate to Captian William Henry Knight's 'Diary of a Pedestrian in Cashmere and Thibet.' The author writes: "About three kos from Sirinugger, we stopped at another very extensive site of Cyclopeian ruins, at a place called Pandreton. Here we found the most perfect building of any we had met; and for a considerable distance around were traces of what must have been, in ages past, a city of some extent."
