Terrible Result of the Higher Education of Women! Punch often entertained its readers by depicting the lives of women. Fashion, sport and education were near the top of the list and this particular cartoon depicts education as being responsible for creating a nation of spinsters.
Young women are being escorted to dinner by elderly professors, whilst the young mean stand redundantly against the wall..
