Approximately 300 pages in 2 volumes, a mixture of pen & ink drawings [some Jewish interest], 6 pencil drawings signed by "Frederick Weekes", many social and political illustrations from publications such as “ILN” and “The Graphic”.

Two engraved coloured scraps, the aerial view with stipple and green aquatint, glued to album page with excised captions, sheet c.147 x 212mm.
Excised from engravings by Barlow for the 'Encylopaedia Londinensis' published by J Wilkes. The full plate originally showed four early hot-air balloons arranged around the view over Chester. In addition to Lunardi's, they included Montgolfier's balloon, Blanchard's balloon, and Charles and Robert's balloon.
Extremely rare.
