Farinelli (1705 –82) was the stage name of Carlo Maria Michelangelo Nicola Broschi; a celebrated Italian castrato singer of the 18th century and one of the greatest singers in the history of opera. He was persuaded to move to Spain and only sang for the Spanish Royal Family.

The siege of the Spanish-held city of Geldern by the Prussians, February-December 1703, part of the War of the Spanish Succession. It shows cannon and a mortar firing at the burning city, with cannonballs being heated and gun carriages being repaired. The print was published thirty-five years after the event as part of the anti-Spanish propaganda in the build-up to the War of Jenkins' Ear (1739-48).

Nearly a set 38 plates out of 40, each headed with a portrait of the most famous race horses of the first half of the eighteenth century, and each accompanied by a description of the horse's pedigree and racing triumphs below. The horses listed include horses such as Basto, Volunteer, Bajazet, Cato and most famously Bay Arabian (or the Godolphin Arabian) and all raced between 1708 and 1755. Plates 37 and 38 missing.
