The print appears in 'The History and Amours of Rhodope', written and published by Diemar. Jupiter in the form of an eagle perches on his throne which is draped in cloth or perhaps his discarded clothes. Behind this a naked nymph dances among the clouds. In the background stands a pyramid. In the foreground a wreath frames the lower portion of the image.

He exhibited at the Royal Academy regularly and became treasurer of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers.
