This is one of the great eccentricites of Rome. It was built in 330 days as a tomb for one Caius Cestius, a praetor and tribune of the plebs, and also a member of the committee for solemn banquets. It is built of brick faced with marble and like other tombs situated outside the walls, but was incorporated in Aurelians wall when it was built.

This is a building I have been unable to idenitify. I can find no reference to S. Marie in Cacaberis, though the 'Filippo' might refer to St. Phillp Nero, the founder of the Oratorian fathers, who was responsible for a certain amount of building of Rome.
