Fine Sepia tinted lithograph heightened in white, sheet 355 x 460mm. 14 x 18". Diagonal creasing through lower left and upper right corners.
Harbour scene in Venice: fishermen gathered on the quayside, with on the left a seated woman with walking stick, and another woman carrying a baby, with her daughter standing nearby; at centre a young man lifting a net. On the right a group of men, one of whom carries a compass; beyond, at centre, a man gesturing towards a man preparing a boat in background. With Jeannin and Goupil publishers' blindstamps lower left and right. After a painting by Léopold Louis Robert (1794 - 1835) executed in 1834.
