Two Turkish men, turned towards each other, seated on carpet on each side of a small table on which sits a book; the man on the left holds a small book and seems to be conversing with his companion, who makes argumentative gestures. Probably Abu Bakr (573-634), a senior companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad who ruled over the Rashidun Caliphate from 632 to 634 CE when he became the first Muslim Caliph following the death of Muhammad; and Umar bin Khattab (581-644), the leading companion and adviser to Islamic prophet Muhammad who later became the second Muslim Caliph after Muhammad's death.
