An impressive scene showing a pastoral Greek landscape in which Lord Byron lies asleep, his companions sleep nearby. The scene illustrates a section from Byron's 1816 poem 'The Dream'. Byron died not long after this print was published on 19th April 1824 and is the last portrait of him while in Greece fighting the War of Greek Independence.

Detail of Charles Eastlake's full-length portrait of Napoleon in the uniform of the Chasseurs, on board the Bellerophon with soldiers around him. Eastlake's painting was enormously popular when first exhibited in 1815 and established the painter's reputation. The painting is now in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
