Set of three sepia photomechanical prints on thick grey paper mounts; each signed & dated and with pastel Remarque of bi-plane. Each image c. 195 x 250mm, 7¾ x 9¾". Each plate is captioned, numbered in sequence and signed by the artist to the verso in pencil, with note "Original in possession of officers mess RAF Uxbridge". One rust spot to second image; generally good.
Three dramatic images showing three stages of a dog fight in the sky between British and German biplanes. Arnold was a Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force. Ten of his watercolours are in the collection of the Imperial War Museum. The RAF was formed on 1 April 1918, and is the oldest independent air force in the world.
